If wet braking matters most
Graded A for wet grip, and nothing else that fits is graded higher. Graded C for rolling resistance. EPREL registration 1211481.

The Chevrolet Bolt runs one fitment, 215/50 R17 95H XL. XL is not optional here; it is what the car was type approved on. The Chevrolet Bolt EUV takes the same size.
| Generation | Trim | Wheel | Tire size | Load index | Speed | Construction | Marking | Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current | LT and RS (17in) | 17in | 215/50 R17 | 95 | H | XL | none | see plate |
Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the on the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tire.
It is the same 215/50 R17 size the 2017 to 2023 Bolt EV and Bolt EUV used, but not the same tire. The 2027 car is specified at 95H XL, where the older Bolts were 91H standard load, so a 91H set from an older Bolt is under-rated for this one.
Index 95 is 690kg per tire. The placard pressure also went up, to 41 psi from the older car's 38 psi.
The LT and the RS share this one square fitment, so there is no wheel-size choice to make.
How these were chosen. Everything here already clears this vehicle's own load index, speed rating and construction class. Each heading is a question about use rather than a ranking. The whole method.

Graded A for rolling resistance, the best of anything here, and that is the figure that shows on the range display. Graded B for wet grip. EPREL registration 914991.
Graded A for fuel efficiency in several of the sizes heavy electric cars use, which is a harder result on a two ton car than it looks.
A touring summer tire built with Bridgestone's Enliten construction, which cuts weight and rolling resistance across the range rather than in one model.
An efficiency-first summer tire aimed squarely at range rather than at cornering.
Every figure here comes from one tire maker's own fitment data, checked across different years or trims. That is a second look rather than a second opinion, so check the label on your door jamb before you buy.
