Subaru Solterra tires
The Subaru Solterra leaves the factory on 235/50 R20 and 235/60 R18 depending on wheel size, and the 235/60 R18 103H below is the one most owners are replacing. A standard load 103 rating is modest for an electric car and says something about where this one's curb weight sits. The Lexus RZ takes the same size.

Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the on the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tire.
What changes on this car
Subaru's US specification lists the 20 inch as 235/50 R20 100V, a standard-load tire, while Michelin's UK data for 2022 to 2025 cars gives 104V, which can only be XL. A British Solterra on 20 inch wheels should stay on the XL rating.
All-wheel drive is standard, and its sizes mirror the Toyota bZ4X it was co-developed with. The 18 inch sidewall is roughly 141 mm, against about 118 mm on the 20 inch.
Michelin's UK listings for the 2026 update show 103V and 100V, which suggests the European spec has moved to the US figures; those years are left out until a second source confirms them.
No tires listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 235/60 R18. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Including the manufacturer's own published figure. Neither source is standing next to your vehicle, which is why the placard still wins.

Common questions
- What size tires does the Subaru Solterra take?
- It runs 235/50 R20 and 235/60 R18. The exact fitment for your car is on On the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar.
- Can I fit a cheaper tire to a Subaru Solterra?
- Only at 235/60 R18 103H or better. That is the figure to hold: a tire below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
