Continental also makes Uniroyal (Europe), Semperit, Barum, Matador, General Tire, Viking, Gislaved. Barum and Matador come out of the group's central European plants and are the budget end done properly. Uniroyal in Europe is a wet weather specialist and has no connection to the American company of the same name, which is a genuine source of confusion rather than a marketing accident.
