Zero S tires

The Zero S leaves the factory on 110/70 R17 and 120/70 R17 depending on wheel size, and the 120/70 R17 58W below is the one most owners are replacing. It is staggered: a 120 section at the front and a 180 at the back, so the two can never be swapped across axles and the rear goes first. The Energica Ego takes the same size.
Every fitment
| Generation | Trim | Wheel | Tire size | Load index | Speed | Construction | Marking | Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current | S, 2024 model year on | 17in cast | 120/70 R17 front, 180/55 R17 rear | 58 | W | SL | none | see plate |
| Current | S, 2014 to 2023 model years | 17in cast | 110/70 R17 front, 140/70 R17 rear | 54 | H | SL | none | see plate |
Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the the specifications section of the owner's manual. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tire.
What changes on this machine
Two different machines have carried this name. Up to the 2023 model year the S ran a 110/70 front and a 140/70 rear; from 2024 Zero moved it onto the SR/F's running gear and its 120/70 and 180/55 sizes. Check the sidewall before ordering.
Michelin's US fitment tool still lists the narrow 110/70 and 140/70 pair for 2024 to 2026 bikes. Zero's own 2024 and 2025 manuals give the wider pair, and where the two disagree the maker's figure is the one to follow.
Bikes from 2012 and 2013 are older again and, by Michelin's data, took a 130/70 rear. They are not covered by either set of figures here.
No tires listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 120/70 R17. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Including the manufacturer's own published figure. Neither source is standing next to your vehicle, which is why the placard still wins.

Common questions
- What size tires does the Zero S take?
- It runs 110/70 R17 and 120/70 R17. The exact fitment for your machine is on The specifications section of the owner's manual.
- Can I fit a cheaper tire to a Zero S?
- Only at 120/70 R17 58W or better. That is the figure to hold: a tire below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
