BMW CE 04 tires

BMW CE 04

The BMW CE 04 runs one fitment, 120/70 R15 56H. It is staggered: a 120 section at the front and a 160 at the back, so the two can never be swapped across axles and the rear goes first.

What you are looking for, drawn. The real one is on the specifications section of the owner's manual, and its figures are the ones that count.

Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the the specifications section of the owner's manual. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tire.

What changes on this machine

Fifteen inch radials, large for a scooter: a 120/70 front and a 160/60 rear. The rear is rated 67H, 307kg.

BMW's own launch press release swaps the two ratings, putting 67H on the front and 56H on the rear. A 120/70 R15 is a 56 size, Michelin's data agrees, and the rear is the end that needs the 67.

No tires listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 120/70 R15. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Where these figures come from

  • BMW Motorrad UK CE 04 technical data, tyres front 120/70 R15, rear 160/60 R15: https://www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/en/models/urban_mobility/ce04/technicaldata.html checked October 5, 2026

  • BMW Group press release 'The new BMW CE 04', which prints the ratings the wrong way round (120/70 R15 67H front, 160/60 R15 56H rear); cited for the discrepancy, not the figures: https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/global/article/detail/T0337029EN/the-new-bmw-ce-04?language=en checked October 5, 2026

Including the manufacturer's own published figure. Neither source is standing next to your vehicle, which is why the placard still wins.

Common questions

What size tires does the BMW CE 04 take?
It runs 120/70 R15. The exact fitment for your machine is on The specifications section of the owner's manual.
Can I fit a cheaper tire to a BMW CE 04?
Only at 120/70 R15 56H or better. That is the figure to hold: a tire below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
