Renault Megane E-Tech tyres

The Renault Megane E-Tech leaves the factory on 195/60 R18 and 215/45 R20 depending on wheel size, and the 195/60 R18 96H XL below is the one most owners are replacing. XL is not optional here; it is what the car was type approved on. The Citroën ë-C4 takes the same size.
Every fitment
| Generation | Trim | Wheel | Tyre size | Load index | Speed | Construction | Marking | Pressure |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current | 18in wheels | 18in | 195/60 R18 | 96 | H | XL | none | see plate |
| Current | 20in wheels | 20in | 215/45 R20 | 95 | T | XL | none | see plate |
Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the on the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tyre.
What changes on this car
The larger wheel gets the lower ratings. The 20 inch 215/45 is a 95T, while the 18 inch 195/60 is a 96H, so the bigger wheel is the one with a T (190 km/h) rating rather than H.
Both sizes are extra-load. The narrow 195 section on 18 inch rims, with about 117 mm of sidewall, is the same tyre Michelin supplies for the Renault 4, down to the article number on the label.
No tyres listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 195/60 R18. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Including the manufacturer's own published figure. Neither source is standing next to your vehicle, which is why the placard still wins.

Common questions
- What size tyres does the Renault Megane E-Tech take?
- It runs 195/60 R18 and 215/45 R20. The exact fitment for your car is on On the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar.
- Can I fit a cheaper tyre to a Renault Megane E-Tech?
- Only at 195/60 R18 96H XL or better. That is the figure to hold: a tyre below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
