Ford Puma Gen-E tyres

The Ford Puma Gen-E leaves the factory on 215/50 R18 and 215/55 R17 and 225/40 R19 depending on wheel size, and the 215/55 R17 94V below is the one most owners are replacing. A standard load 94 rating is modest for an electric car and says something about where this one's kerb weight sits. The Hyundai Kona Electric takes the same size.

| Current | 18in wheels | 18in | 215/50 R18 | 92 | V | SL | none | see plate |
| Current | 19in wheels | 19in | 225/40 R19 | 93 | V | XL | none | see plate |
Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the on the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tyre.
What changes on this car
Each of the three wheel sizes is square, and each is V-rated to 240km/h, so the Puma Gen-E can rotate front to back freely whichever wheel it wears.
Only the 19 inch needs XL. 225/40 R19 93V is 650kg per tyre, and a standard-load tyre in that size cannot reach 93. The 17 inch 215/55 R17 94V is standard load and still carries the highest figure on the car, 670kg.
On the 19 inch, Michelin's listing gives different pressures for the two axles even though the sizes match: 2.3 bar front and 2.6 bar rear.
The 225/40 profile leaves roughly 90mm of sidewall on the 19 inch, against about 118mm on the 17 inch 215/55.
No tyres listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 215/55 R17. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Every figure here comes from one tyre maker's own fitment data, checked across different years or trims. That is a second look rather than a second opinion, so check the label on your door jamb before you buy.

Common questions
- What size tyres does the Ford Puma Gen-E take?
- It runs 215/50 R18 and 215/55 R17 and 225/40 R19. The exact fitment for your car is on On the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar.
- Can I fit a cheaper tyre to a Ford Puma Gen-E?
- Only at 215/55 R17 94V or better. That is the figure to hold: a tyre below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
