Great Britain retained Regulation (EC) 1222/2009, so the label here uses the older A to G scales. Northern Ireland follows the current EU label, which runs A to E and carries a QR code.

What it is for

Michelin's Elect marking identifies a tyre validated against the three things an electric drivetrain does differently: the standing weight of a battery pack, the torque arriving instantly at low speed, and the rolling resistance that decides how much of the battery reaches the road. The acoustic version adds a polyurethane foam layer bonded to the inner liner, which damps the cavity resonance that a quiet cabin stops masking.
