Audi e-tron GT tyres

The Audi e-tron GT leaves the factory on 225/55 R19 and 245/45 R20 and 265/35 R21 depending on wheel size, and the 225/55 R19 103Y XL below is the one most owners are replacing. XL is not optional here; it is what the car was type approved on. It is staggered: a 225 section at the front and a 275 at the back, so the two can never be swapped across axles and the rear goes first. The Audi A6 e-tron takes the same size.

Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the on the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tyre.
What changes on this car
Its three tyre pairings are exactly those of the Porsche Taycan's 19, 20 and 21in sets, which follows from the J1 platform the two cars share.
Every fitment is staggered, by 50 mm on the 19in and 40 mm on the 20 and 21in, and every one is a Y-rated XL. The 21in rear is a 305/30 with only about 92 mm of sidewall.
The 20in and 19in rears carry the most, 1,000 kg each at load index 108. Audi USA quotes 5,060 lb for the 2022 e-tron GT and 5,139 lb for the RS.
Michelin's US data also shows H-rated versions of the 20 and 21in pairs for the S e-tron GT from 2025; the Y-rated pair is the one given here.
No tyres listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 225/55 R19. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Every figure here comes from one tyre maker's own fitment data, checked across different years or trims. That is a second look rather than a second opinion, so check the label on your door jamb before you buy.

Common questions
- What size tyres does the Audi e-tron GT take?
- It runs 225/55 R19 and 245/45 R20 and 265/35 R21. The exact fitment for your car is on On the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar.
- Can I fit a cheaper tyre to a Audi e-tron GT?
- Only at 225/55 R19 103Y XL or better. That is the figure to hold: a tyre below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
