Great Britain retained Regulation (EC) 1222/2009, so the label here uses the older A to G scales. Northern Ireland follows the current EU label, which runs A to E and carries a QR code.
What it is for
Cold costs an electric car twice: the battery has less usable energy below seven degrees, and a summer compound stiffens and stops gripping. The battery half cannot be fixed by the owner. The tyre half can. Winter tyres are legally permitted below the vehicle's original speed rating provided the driver knows and the load index is still met, which is why this range carries T and R ratings on cars that left the factory on W and Y.
