Great Britain retained Regulation (EC) 1222/2009, so the label here uses the older A to G scales. Northern Ireland follows the current EU label, which runs A to E and carries a QR code.
What it is for
Car manufacturers routinely approve more than one tyre for a fitment and then fit whichever the factory has, which is why two cars off the same line can wear different rubber. Where that happens the approved pair are close by design and differ by a decibel or a single grade. Worth knowing before paying a premium for one over the other.
