Hyundai Ioniq 9 tyres

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 leaves the factory on 255/60 R19 and 275/50 R20 and 285/45 R21 depending on wheel size, and the 255/60 R19 113V XL below is the one most owners are replacing. XL is not optional here; it is what the car was type approved on. The Kia EV9 takes the same size.

Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the on the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tyre.
What changes on this car
Every Ioniq 9 wheel size is rated at load index 113, which is 1,150 kg per corner, and all three are XL. That is the highest figure in this group and reflects a three-row body with six or seven seats and a battery of over 100 kWh underneath.
Going from 19 to 21 inch adds 30 mm of width but keeps the load and V rating unchanged, so a smaller tyre is never a lower-rated one here. The 21 inch has the thinnest sidewall, at about 128 mm.
Hyundai's own sheets name Kumho PS71 on the 19 and 20 inch and Continental PremiumContact C on the 21 inch.
No tyres listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 255/60 R19. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Common questions
- What size tyres does the Hyundai Ioniq 9 take?
- It runs 255/60 R19 and 275/50 R20 and 285/45 R21. The exact fitment for your car is on On the driver's door jamb, on the B-pillar.
- Can I fit a cheaper tyre to a Hyundai Ioniq 9?
- Only at 255/60 R19 113V XL or better. That is the figure to hold: a tyre below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
