Kawasaki Z e-1 tyres

Kawasaki Z e-1

PantheraLeo1359531 · CC BY 4.0

The Kawasaki Z e-1 runs one fitment, 100/80-17 52S. It is staggered: a 100 section at the front and a 130 at the back, so the two can never be swapped across axles and the rear goes first. The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 takes the same size.

What you are looking for, drawn. The real one is on the specifications section of the owner's manual, and its figures are the ones that count.

Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the the specifications section of the owner's manual. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tyre.

What changes on this machine

The Z e-1 is the Ninja e-1 without the fairing and rolls on the identical pair, so the two share every tyre on the shelf.

Kawasaki's specification sheet and Michelin's fitment data agree on 52S front and 62S rear for every year since launch. These are crossply sizes, cheaper than the radials on larger machines.

No tyres listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 100/80-17. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Including the manufacturer's own published figure. Neither source is standing next to your vehicle, which is why the placard still wins.

Common questions

What size tyres does the Kawasaki Z e-1 take?
It runs 100/80-17. The exact fitment for your machine is on The specifications section of the owner's manual.
Can I fit a cheaper tyre to a Kawasaki Z e-1?
Only at 100/80-17 52S or better. That is the figure to hold: a tyre below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
