Trek Fetch+ tyres

The Trek Fetch+ runs 55-406 and 60-406 in ETRTO sizing, the width in millimetres followed by the rim bead seat diameter. It is staggered: a 55 section at the front and a 60 at the back, so the two can never be swapped across axles and the rear goes first. The Riese & Muller Load5 60 / 75 takes the same size.

Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the printed on the tyre sidewall, next to the pressure range. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tyre.

What changes on this bike

The two Fetch+ models share a tyre family but not a size: the Fetch+ 2 longtail runs 20x2.35 Pick-Ups at both ends, while the Fetch+ 4 box bike pairs a 20x2.15 front with a 60-584 (27.5in) rear.

Trek rates the Fetch+ 4 at 250 kg all-up and the Fetch+ 2 at 200 kg; Schwalbe lists the 20x2.15 Pick-Up at 115 kg per tyre, so on the Fetch+ 4 the front and rear are working near their limits when the box is full.

Trek names the Pick-Up as ECE-R75 certified and Schwalbe rates it E-50 with a Super Defense double carcass, so a like-for-like replacement keeps both the load rating and the puncture protection a cargo bike needs.

No tyres listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 60-406. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Common questions

What size tyres does the Trek Fetch+ take?
It runs 55-406 and 60-406. The exact fitment for your bike is on Printed on the tyre sidewall, next to the pressure range.
Can I fit a cheaper tyre to a Trek Fetch+?
Only at 60-406 or better. That is the figure to hold: a tyre below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
