Giant Trance X E+ tyres
The Giant Trance X E+ runs 66-622 in ETRTO sizing, the width in millimetres followed by the rim bead seat diameter.
Every fitment
| Generation | Trim | Wheel | Tyre size | Inch size |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Current | Trance X E+ 2 / E+ 3 (Maxxis Minion DHF front, Dissector rear) | 29in | 66-622 | 29x2.60 |
Your own placard is the authority. You will find it on the printed on the tyre sidewall, next to the pressure range. Where it disagrees with this page, it wins. Match or exceed the size, load index, speed rating and construction class it gives, and use its pressure figure rather than anything printed on the tyre.
What changes on this bike
The alloy Trance X E+ 2 and E+ 3 are full 29ers with a Minion DHF 29x2.6 up front and a faster-rolling Dissector 29x2.6 behind, both in Maxxis EXO+ casing and 3C MaxxTerra rubber.
Front and rear are the same size but not the same tyre; swapping them round puts the lower-knob Dissector on the steering wheel, so replace each with its own pattern.
Maxxis lists both at 66-622 in the 2.6 width, mounted on Giant's 30 mm AM30 rims; the carbon Trance X Advanced E+ is a separate model and is not covered by this entry.
No tyres listed against this fitment yet. Product specifications are published from each manufacturer's own data and that work is not finished for 66-622. Match or exceed every figure in the table above and you cannot go far wrong.

Common questions
- What size tyres does the Giant Trance X E+ take?
- It runs 66-622. The exact fitment for your bike is on Printed on the tyre sidewall, next to the pressure range.
- Can I fit a cheaper tyre to a Giant Trance X E+?
- Only at 66-622 or better. That is the figure to hold: a tyre below the load index, the speed rating or the construction class is not a cheaper one, it is the wrong one.
